2. Using this website
By using this website, you agree to use it lawfully and respectfully.
The information on this website is intended to explain the services offered by HomeWithEase and help visitors decide whether these services may suit their needs.
I aim to keep the information accurate and up to date. However, service descriptions, availability and other website information may occasionally change. If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact me before making a booking.
3. Our services
HomeWithEase offers practical and compassionate support, which may include:
Decluttering and sorting household possessions.
Home organisation and developing practical systems for everyday living.
Support with preparing for a house move.
Non-judgemental support for people experiencing overwhelming clutter.
Cleaning services, where agreed in advance.
Every client's circumstances are different. The services provided will depend on the client's needs, the agreed tasks and the arrangements confirmed before a visit.
HomeWithEase aims to provide a respectful, supportive service. Clients remain in control of decisions about their possessions, and no item will knowingly be discarded, donated or removed without their permission.
HomeWithEase does not promise a particular result or timescale, as progress depends on individual circumstances, the agreed work and the time available.
4. Enquiries and bookings
You can contact HomeWithEase by email, telephone or the contact form on the website to discuss your needs.
An enquiry does not itself create a confirmed booking. A booking will be confirmed once the date, time, services and other relevant arrangements have been agreed with you.
Before work begins, I will explain the expected duration, applicable charges and any arrangements relevant to your session.
If you are arranging or paying for help for a friend or family member, their wishes, consent and involvement will be respected. A third party cannot make decisions about another adult's possessions without appropriate authority or that person's agreement.
5. Pricing and payment
The current standard rate is £50 per hour.
The first visit is normally a three-hour session, giving us time to discuss your needs and make a start together. At the standard hourly rate, a three-hour session costs £150.
A £25 booking deposit is required to secure the first visit. The deposit is deducted from the total cost of that session, leaving £125 payable for a three-hour first visit, assuming no additional agreed charges apply.
Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer. Payment arrangements and when the balance is due will be confirmed when your booking is agreed.
Any additional work, extra time or additional charges must be discussed and agreed with you before they are incurred.
If a price changes, the new price will be communicated before you agree to a new booking. A price change will not retrospectively alter a booking already agreed.
6. Cancellations, rearrangements and refunds
I understand that circumstances can change, and I will do my best to accommodate reasonable requests to rearrange a visit.
Where possible, please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
The £25 deposit is intended to secure your first booking. Whether it can be retained, transferred to another date or refunded will depend on the circumstances and applicable law. Any cancellation charge must be fair and proportionate to the circumstances.
If HomeWithEase needs to cancel or rearrange a visit, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss a suitable alternative. If a service cannot be provided and you have paid for it, an appropriate refund will be arranged.
Your statutory cancellation rights
Where a booking is a distance contract or an off-premises contract covered by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering into the contract.
These rights are separate from the 24-hour notice requested above.
If you ask for a service to begin during the 14-day cancellation period, additional requirements apply. I will provide the required information and obtain the necessary express request and acknowledgement before starting early where the law requires this. If you cancel after work has begun during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already supplied, provided the legal requirements have been met.
Your statutory rights will not be restricted by these Terms and Conditions. Where a statutory cancellation right applies, the applicable legal rules will take priority over any conflicting cancellation or deposit policy.
7. Your home and belongings
I will treat your home and belongings with care and respect.
We will work together to identify your priorities and agree on the tasks to be undertaken. You remain in control of decisions about what to keep, donate, recycle or discard.
I will not knowingly dispose of, donate or remove your belongings without your permission. Please identify any valuable, fragile, sentimental, confidential or otherwise important items before work begins.
You should retain control of cash, jewellery, important documents, medication, keys and other valuables unless a specific arrangement has been expressly agreed.
Where appropriate, I may ask you to identify any hazards, access restrictions, fragile items or other circumstances that could affect the safe completion of the work.
8. Cleaning and additional services
Cleaning tasks must be agreed in advance so that we both understand what is included in the session.
Some specialist tasks may not be suitable for HomeWithEase, including work involving hazardous substances, biohazards, significant pest infestations or other unsafe conditions, unless expressly agreed and appropriately covered.
If a task cannot reasonably or safely be undertaken, I will discuss the situation with you and, where possible, agree on an alternative approach.
9. Safety and respectful conduct
I aim to provide a calm, respectful and non-judgemental service.
Clients are asked to provide safe access to the agreed work areas and to communicate any relevant safety concerns before the visit.
If an unexpected hazard or serious safety concern arises, I may pause or stop the work while we discuss an appropriate way forward. Where possible, I will explain the concern and any effect on the booking or charges.
Both parties should treat each other respectfully. No one should be subjected to threatening, abusive or discriminatory behaviour.
10. Photographs and testimonials
Photographs of a client's home, belongings or progress will only be taken or used where appropriate permission has been obtained.
Permission to take photographs does not automatically mean permission to publish them on the website, social media or marketing materials. Separate, informed permission will be obtained for those purposes.
Testimonials and reviews will only be published with appropriate permission and will not knowingly be presented in a misleading way.
You may ask questions about how photographs or other personal information are used by contacting HomeWithEase.
11. Our responsibilities and your rights
HomeWithEase will provide agreed services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. In particular, nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is prohibited by law, or removes your statutory rights relating to the provision of services.
If you have a concern about a service, please contact me so that we can discuss the issue and seek a fair resolution.
12. Privacy and personal information
HomeWithEase may collect personal information when you use the contact form, make an enquiry or arrange a booking.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the separate HomeWithEase Privacy Notice, which explains what information is collected, why it is used, how it is stored and your applicable data protection rights.
Please read the Privacy Notice before submitting personal information through the website.
13. Cookies
The website may use cookies or similar technologies to operate correctly, understand website usage or provide particular features.
Information about the cookies used and how consent is managed is provided in the separate Cookie Notice or cookie settings, where applicable.
Non-essential cookies and similar technologies will be handled in accordance with applicable requirements.
14. Links to other websites
This website may contain links to third-party websites for information or convenience.
HomeWithEase does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. You should review the relevant terms and privacy information when visiting another website.
15. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the website, services or legal requirements.
The latest version will be published on this page with its revision date.
Changes to these website terms will not retrospectively alter an existing service agreement where doing so would be unlawful or unfair.
16. Applicable law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts with appropriate jurisdiction under applicable law.
